Lorna McMurrey, a dead worker speaks on Trulieve pre-existing conditions defense

McMurrey posted that allergy conditions started while working at Trulieve

An anonymous executive-level source with Trulieve recently pushed back on the press coverage of a 27-year-old worker who died, Lorna McMurrey, the source, “verified Lorna had asthma, was a smoker, and attributed her death to her pre-existing condition: not cannabis dust.

Recently we’ve received from the family of Lorna McMurrey, screen captures, Lorna McMurrey’s words, her friends-only posts which we are sharing today. 

Lorna’s own statements on her date-stamped Facebook page. Statements that show the pre-existing Trulieve excuse is likely a false narrative. McMurrey’s asthma conditions started after her work began at Trulieve. McMurrey in her own words documents a struggling worker wondering if she might die and a management that didn’t seem concerned about Lorna’s health even after a November 9th first ambulance ride and a CCC investigation had commenced.

The company gifted her cannabis flower that Christmas after that first ambulance ride from work, cannabis flower that she was unable to smoke. Yes, McMurrey took two ambulance rides from Trulieve, the first on 11/9/2021, McMurrey confirms it in her posts.

Trulieve mentions none of that in their disingenuous press statements! It’s as if she just collapsed in January and died and they never had any indication that there was a problem with her respiratory when they clearly should have known after the first ambulance was called on November 9th.
